(yer.uh.bor.us): re-discovery of self//re.birth||awaken.ing

The Uroboros represents the eternal cycle of death and rebirth, one each of us will face many times throughout our lives. Although at times painful, the opportunity to acknowledge and release our past experiences and expectations with a sense of gratitude creates a renewed space to explore, embrace and ultimately embody the authentic self within.

Uroboros Wellness is an ode to this metaphorical shedding and rebirth and it is this thought that I hope to share with my clients. For just as the snake sheds her skin to reveal a deeper self, we too can find the hope of a new beginning in the end.

Counseling

You’ve done the self development, the journaling, the workshops. You’ve spent time reading the ‘right’ books, following the mental health gurus advice, tried the meditation and the breathing exercises, and yet you still feel stuck.

What if I told you that the answer you seek is within? Sounds cheesy I know, but it’s true. There is a powerful driving force beneath the surface that has a greater impact on your life than you can even imagine. And this part? It doesn’t get better through breathing, advice or reading. It gets better by being acknowledged, cared for, supported and loved.

Our work together provides the opportunity to bring awareness to this part, and begin the deep healing work necessary for you to live the life you want.

Whether you’re struggling with past traumas, present holdups or stuck in future thinking, I can help.

This is your turning point. Trust the call. Book your discovery call today.

Mental Health in Silviculture

As a planter who consistently attended therapy, I remember how frustrating it could be sometimes to try and explain to an ‘outsider’ what planting was really like. Camp life, isolation, production, competition, relational issues and changes, power dynamics, substance use etc. all have really specific and nuanced aspects that can be challenging for folks outside the industry to understand.

This struggle, alongside my passion for the industry has led to the development of Rooted in Wellness. This program aims to bring awareness to the impacts of mental health on planters safety and productivity both on the block and in camp.

My hope in developing this program is to highlight the shared responsibility and role that companies and workers share in mental health, and to provide an opportunity to develop a healthier, happier and more sustainable workforce.
